For those that don’t know, I design MySpace pages, amongst other things. I’ve done loads of pages, but these are some of my most recent. The more and more time I spend playing in a band or being involved in the music industry, the more I realise how much it’s often driven by looks more than music. It doesn’t really apply as much to guys so much, but it seems that a large number, possibly even a majority of teenage girls in the western world are more influenced by looks than by quality of music.

Kids Can't Fly January Update
Hey guys!! We hope that so far 2010 has been great for you guys, it’s been awesome for us! We have loads of stuff to tell you about and even more in the pipeline that we’ll be able to announce in February. 1) December Tour Video Diary Back in late November and early December we set off on a UK tour. It was great fun and we filmed loads of random stuff on our phones and stuff....
Sadly we’ve had to already pull out of the Mo’Live launch night tonight (that we only confirmed 2 days ago), I think perhaps there’s a curse on the opening slot.
Basically, in Poole the other day, Robin smacked his knee on the corner of the stage and since then it’s flared up worse and worse and being that he lives in Bath, it’s just not possible for him to come down...
So I just checked out ChatRoulette, what a crazy site! If I use a cam though am I likely to find more interesting people?

Whoa! So this evening was interesting. Got a load of people saying they’re excited about us playing the Mo’Live launch show, but apparently there were some people hating on us for replacing another band who had pulled out. I’m not sure how we’re to blame!?
The show is basically a big collection of Southampton bands of all styles to celebrate the opening of a new venue, but...
Firstly, why is it whenever we post a Southampton show announcement out on the Kids Can’t Fly Facebook, 5 people instantly ask us to come to the states or Canada? Then when we post a show announcement for elsewhere, people ask us when we’re going to be playing Southampton!
You crazy bunch of nutters! Haha
Anyway, sweet news, we’ll be opening the Mo’live launch night on...

Haven’t listened to this in so long!!...
Played a show in Poole tonight at Chords, the venue is so nice, wish every venue was like that. It’s just a shame that the Poole music scene is largely dead. Hopefully though the local kids will get to know the venue and turn-outs will get better. It seems such a shame when people spend ages trying to create an awesome venue for other people to watch their favourite bands at, and then those...

Awesome news, we’re going to be heading into the studio with Joe Marsh, who produced our first two CDs, to record a 5-track acoustic EP on February 6th and 7th. We can’t guarantee what the track listing is yet, but it’s looking likely to be:

It’s not often I go out without drinking ANY alcohol, but now that I’ve given it up it’ll be a regular occurrence. Tonight was strange, I spent over half the night just watching other people in the club and it’s weird how much alcohol can raise self-confidence. Most people simply can’t dance for example, but they don’t care.

Just got back from Birmingham and our meeting with a certain someone regarding a certain something. All went very well and it could mean the start of very big stuff for Kids Can’t Fly, I’m very excited actually!!
Going out for Harriet’s birthday this evening, but it’ll be my first night out after giving up alcohol, so should be interesting. I don’t even have money...
Had about 3 and a half hours sleep, don’t feel too healthy right now, but at least what we’re doing today doesn’t require any energy!
On a brighter note, just started the day with some Lime Original Source shower gel, can’t get much better really. Got 15 mins now to shave, do my hair, eat brekkie and make two compilation CDs for the car. Can it be done?

I feel like after creating this account I should have lots to say, but now that it’s come down to it of course, my mind has gone blank. It’s 4am right now and I fear my sleeping pattern is slowly slipping back to what it used to be (6am - 4pm), which isn’t what I want to happen at all. It’s almost like my body doesn’t work on 24 hour clock though, is that possible?
